Remote Access Terms

Version 1, effective August 2026. These terms cover the temporary vehicle access a customer grants to Ride Rite Mobile Auto Services through Tesla's official third-party access system.

1. What you are authorizing

By completing the Service Access form, you authorize Ride Rite Mobile Auto Services to connect to the vehicle you identify and to perform only these actions, only as reasonably necessary to carry out the service you requested: wake the vehicle from sleep, lock and unlock the doors, open the front or rear trunk, briefly enable keyless driving so the vehicle can be moved or operated on site, flash the exterior lights or sound the horn to locate the vehicle, and read vehicle information such as configuration, odometer, tire pressures, battery status, alerts, and warranty status.

2. What is not authorized

This authorization does not permit Ride Rite to access your Tesla account, change your account settings, add or remove drivers, view your vehicle's location, or use the vehicle for any purpose other than the service you requested. Ride Rite never receives your Tesla username or password. Tesla, not Ride Rite, controls the sign-in and the permissions you approve. Vehicles built from 2021 on additionally require that you add the Ride Rite service key to the vehicle from your Tesla app; that key allows only the actions listed above, appears on your vehicle's Locks screen as check.riderite.us, and can be removed there by you at any time with immediate effect.

3. Who may grant access

You confirm that you are the owner of the vehicle or a person authorized by the owner to permit service and vehicle access. If you are not the owner, you confirm you have the owner's permission to grant this access.

4. Duration and revocation

Access is temporary. It expires automatically, normally within about eight hours of being granted and in no case more than ten hours. Ride Rite does not request or hold long-term credentials, so access cannot silently continue after it expires. You may revoke access at any moment in the Tesla mobile app under Security and Privacy, Third-Party Apps. You may also ask your technician to end it, which immediately removes Ride Rite's ability to send any further command to your vehicle.

5. Records we keep

Ride Rite records this authorization, including the name you typed, the date and time, the network address and browser information the authorization was submitted from, and the vehicle identification number, so that both you and Ride Rite have proof of what was authorized and when. Ride Rite also records every action taken on the vehicle with a timestamp. You may request a copy of these records at any time by contacting Kevin@riderite.us. Vehicle data pulled for your service report is retained for ninety days.

6. Your responsibilities

Please make sure the vehicle is legally parked and accessible, that personal belongings you do not want handled are removed, and that any additional instructions are given to your technician before work begins.

7. Limits of responsibility

Ride Rite performs the authorized actions with reasonable care. Ride Rite is not responsible for conditions outside its control, including vehicle connectivity problems, Tesla service interruptions, software behavior of the vehicle, or pre-existing vehicle faults. Nothing in these terms limits any rights you have under applicable California law, and nothing here replaces the separate estimate, invoice, or workmanship warranty covering the service itself.

8. Independence from Tesla

Ride Rite Mobile Auto Services is an independent company. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Tesla, Inc. Tesla and its model names are trademarks of Tesla, Inc., used here only to identify the vehicles Ride Rite services.
